ELIGIBILITY FOR MCA


MCA DEGREE PROGRAMME:

A pass in a recognised bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration with mathematics at 10,+2 level or at graduate level and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination).

    • (i) 10 +2 + AMIE*
    • (ii) 10 +3 years diploma (awarded by the state board of technical education) + AMIE*

MCA LATERAL ENTRY:

A pass in a recognised bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc (Computer Science/Information Technology) with mathematics as a course at 10,+2 level or at graduate level and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination).

Qualifying Examinations and Eligibility


MBA Degree Programme:

A pass in a recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years duration with mathematics at 10,+2 level or at graduate level and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.

  • 10 + 2 + 3 / 4 / 5 years pattern
  • 10 + 3 years Diploma* + 3 years pattern
  • 10 + 2 + 2 years Lateral Entry Diploma* + 3 years pattern
  • (i) 10 + 2 + AMIE**
  • (ii) 10 + 3 Years Diploma* + AMIE**

* Awarded by the State Board of Technical Education

** Candidates with section ‘A’ & ‘B’ certificates issued by professional bodies or societies (e.g., AMIE) recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and enrolled with institutions with permanent recognition up to 31-5-2013 are eligible. They must have 2 years of regular full-time Teaching/Industrial experience after completion of the course.

Additional Eligibility Conditions:

  • B.E./B.Tech. lateral entry and part-time modes are also eligible.
  • B.E./B.Tech. degrees obtained through Distance mode/Weekend courses are not eligible.
  • Degrees obtained in Arts and Science Colleges without studying 10th and 12th standard are not eligible.
  • Candidates admitted through Lateral Entry in UG Degree courses of Arts and Science Colleges are not eligible.
  • The qualifying UG Degree must conform to the minimum standards of instruction for Grant of the First Degree through Formal/Non-Formal/Distance (wherever applicable).
